The main processor module model for Tricon v9.6 and higher versions of the system is 3008. For detailed specifications, please refer to the Tricon System Planning and Installation Guide. Each main processor communicates independently with its I/O subsystem and executes user written control programs. During each scan, the main processor checks specified discrete variables to detect state changes known as events through sequence of events (SOE) and time synchronization. When an event occurs, the main processor saves the current variable state and timestamp in the buffer of the SOE block. If multiple Tricon systems are connected through NCM, the time synchronization function ensures a consistent time basis for effective SOE timestamps. For more information, please refer to page 70.
